What is the difference between a 67 firewall and a 70 firewall?

Re: Firewalls

I don't believe there is any difference but I could be wrong.

Re: Firewalls

the location of the parking brake cable coming through, and the way the fuse box/wire bulk head mounts.
Otherwise, they should be pretty much the same

Re: Firewalls

they are stamped a little different in 67 than 68-72s as well next to the a/c heater box right by the dip for the engine. i heard they changed this in 68 to make more room in the engine bay for a big block. blue pic is of 67 and cut out is 68-72.

Re: Firewalls

So my question is, can I put a 70 firewall on my 67 cab? Will it work and line up with the flanges?

I would think the flanges should be exactly the same but I've never done it so I can't say for sure.... I would think they are the same as these trucks share just about everything almost from year to year.
