Cleaning up after Sand Blasting w/motor in. Flushing & Cleaning out Zerks

Hey all, i blasted my frame and underside of the cab. i masked the motor pretty well i thought, but turns out a lot of sand got in thru my masking. i blew it all off with an air compressor, then pressure washed everything as well. I need some ideas on how best to flush EVERYTHING engine related, and all Zerk fittings. thanks in advance!

if you are talking flushing your engine like running solvent through it (commonly advertised as engine flush) then don't do it. All it does is remove thousands of miles off your engine's life. Ask any mechanic (not a jiffy lube mechanic) and they will tell you the same. Don't do anything like this to an auto tranny either. You can do several oil changes with a very short interval, but that's as good as it'll get.
A manual tranny, or rear end can be done, just don't drive it like so. Open them up and drain, hose it out with solvent, then follow with brake clean and refill.
Zerks... honesly, if you have one that is clogged, I'd say replace it.

what are some acceptable solvents? also, its not that the zerks are clogged necessarily, but i think sand likely may have gone thru the fitting opening, and also, in the rubber gaps that these zerk fittings provide lubricant to.
