my project 454 big block 22's notched and bagged og interior ZERO Rust....

Hey new to board been toying with this truck after selling a 72 truck and my 72 blazer that I regret so this is my first 68 its a long ways away but been having progress...

And best of all og stock never touched never re upholstered or molseted cab inside og paint no cuts zero rust only 90k miles on cab was in a barn for 20 years....horn even works! not even gonna do anything to inside I dont think but get new carpet...

That looks like an awesome project! What are you planning on doing with the exterior leaving it patined or doing a repaint? I really like how the interior is untouched with the mint original inside and the complete custom suspension and drop!

Hey Mathew I am thinking of doin a champagne gold metallic satin paint. I just got the fender and grill back slapped it on last night now its looking like a truck again.....All the body work for front clipis done. Taking it in pieces to my body guy to do a lil at a time plus no overspray on everything got excited to see the 22 in the wheel well.

Looks great! I have the same wheels, but in the 5 lug/spoke pattern. On the front, is that just bags and cups aired out? I only was able to mock the bag in place last week and jack the tire up and it looks like about where it stopped for me...

Thanks guys and for the cl ad I spoke with him before ..... I am thinking buying repop sides my floor is already cut for my notch are.. Are the repops garbage they are pricey.

i ended just buying repops on mine. they seem to be just fine and it was much easier to just bolt up some repops rather then wait around for a good deal on originals that would need work...

thanks fellas ... appreciate the hospitality..

Royo those headers are off of a newer 454 engine I put carriage style bolts and weleded in inside and out where the smog sesors or whatever tubes smog **** was tied into them... they are super tight and dump where I NEEDED THEM PLUS THEY WERE FREE !! besides a hour or 2 of grinding then vht engine paint I actually like the look...

are they after market or oem. what year of 454 car/truck? It looks so good we might want to do the same .

I was hooked on these trucks since 1982 when I drove my budys fathers 1968 Custum GMC 396 automatic dana 60 rear with a power lock diff what a ride more fun then we will we can ever tell!!
