A/C P/S with Header Help

Hello. I'm new to Chevrolet and I just bought a 77' Bonanza that has a fresh 350 with an Edlebrock intake and Headman headers and the owner left off the cruise control and A/C compressor, along with the p/s pump not supported well. Got a bracket for the P/S without a/c to fix that for now. Would like to reinstall the A/C and cruise but the headers make for trouble mounting. Called Headman and they offered no help. Has anyone done this and if so where did you get your parts or did you just make your own spacers and reuse the factory brackets?

Re: A/C P/S with Header Help

from what I remember on the older ones the headers are no problem just need a spacer on the first bolt for the bracket. Stock bracket that is, got pics of the bracket you have for the a/c?

The 86 we had, it had one come out over top of behind the upper PS bolt hole and then the a/c bracket attached to it I think.

Re: A/C P/S with Header Help

Looked at a junk yard suburban and looks like in addition to the frt. header bolt needing a spacer, and the large rear intake bracket, there is a bracket coming off two of the center header bolts to help support the lower rear of the compressor?

I'm also pretty sure you just need to add a spacer on the front bolt...I believe that forum member "Justins76" or 77..don't remember just added a bunch of washers as a temp. spacer...
