Wing Window Vibration (from sterio) ?
I guess Im pretty lucky because the only things that make noise (rattle) when the sterio is pumping is the wing window (driver only, atleast that I can hear ) and the door windows. The door windows are not an issue because I need new channel all the wa around except for the very bottom. I kow this will fix that problem.
I notice that the little pin in the wing window (upper pin/pivot point) is what is causing this rattle sound. If I put my finger on the pin, ever so slightly, the rattle stops. Anyone else had this problem? What can I do to fix this problem? Ohh yeah, it only does it when the wing window is open, I dont seem to notice it when its closed. thanks!

I think they sell replacement rivets at LMC, so the dealer probably has them as well.
Can you tighten the rivet up with a ball peen hammer? Watch the glass! Slonaker |

Do you think its loose and thats why is rattles?
I would think it would have to have some play to allow it to pivot. It doesnt seem loose, and when I push it with my finger it doesnt move, it just stops rattling. im going to look at it better tonight and see if it looks loose or anything compared to the other side.

Rattling sucks!! My door rattles all of the time and I was wondering if anyone has used that spray on sound deadner? If so does the stuff work? Since I have my door panels off I was thinking about spraying that stuff all over to stop Rattling.

84stepper Im sure it would help, but do you know whats actually rattling? Windows are the most common. New seals all around the windows helps a ton!
So nobody has any ideas other then, dont open it Did you forget that its hot here? The wing is like a life saver

You can buy new seals and rivets(pins) for those wing windows. They make a tool that you can also buy (cheap) to replace the rivet. I would replace that pin and see if that helps you out. If not, you may just need a new vent window assembly. It's probably just worn out.

I replaced all the window channels, door seals and modified the vent windows. No wind noise or vibratios. Most of my system stays in side the cab. Ever see a windshield vibrate.

Use 2 hammers ,one on each side of the rivit, give gentle taps till its mushroomed enough.
