Re: ideas on removing tonneau cover
If you have a standard garage with a ceiling that is low, then connect some eybolts in the joists and use a set of nylon straps to lift the cover from the bed. You can pull it up to a height that you can drive out from under it easily.

Re: ideas on removing tonneau cover
Raise it up and lay some towels down the bed rails, Lower it down then craw under and unbolt the hinge and supports. Grab the end and slide it off the back, When you get it to the end of the bed rails set that end on the floor/ground. Grab one side and stand it on end then flip it over upside down on the floor/ground on towels etc.
I use to remove/install a glass high top topper on my long bed Toyota all by myself the same way, Once off I'd flip it back over so it wouldn't fill with rain water.....

Re: ideas on removing tonneau cover
if you have a garage and you have rafters you could use rope or straps to suspend it from them? just a thought. that way it never touches the ground
