Speed warning conversion pics (67 Chevy heaven)

Shawn here are some pics of your dash. It is complete, this is the first aftermarket cluster that I have ever put a speed warning in and it went fairly smooth. This guy trusted me to hack up his new dash . I did not hurt it .

not to be young again, but why is a speed warning a bonus?

Re: Speed warning conversion pics (67 Chevy heaven)

All questions are welcome on this site.

Speedwarning was a limited option generally available during '67 and '68 which would allow you to dial in a specific speed. When the speedo would hit that speed, a buzzer would sound reminding you to watch your speed. Great option for those with a heavy foot.

Re: Speed warning conversion pics (67 Chevy heaven)

I am really thankful for the S/W addition to my dash cluster.
I have wanted one for quite a while now.
I am not getting anything for acknowledging Paul and his work, BUT......
He is one of the best guys to deal with. he went to great lengths to explain the necessary
things and components needed to make the whole S/W work properly.
A super guy and a real meticulous oriented person that knows the ins and outs of these
little jewels.
I would suggest that if you have an idea of getting a S/W added to your dash assy, give my friend Paul (PT'S 70 CST) a shout first

Re: Speed warning conversion pics (67 Chevy heaven)

Nate the needle color is whatever they paint the aftermarket needles with. I got lucky matching the speed warning needle to the dash. I had one that had good color but it was still a bit off from the rest of the needles so I cleaned it with a lysol wipe and shot it with a little clear and whala it was very close.

that's funny you mention the lysol wipe. I've been using that to clean my gauges I'm restoring. Just started using it in the last week and I've been very impressed how well it works!

that looks great, but what is he really saying about your truck by setting your speed minder to 45??
