1984 silverado
Hey i love this web site i thought i was the only one who love these damn things. My first truck in high school was a 77 3/4 ton and try as a may could hardly tear it up. This is my second square i traded a 91 stepside in damn good shape for it just cause i had to have it. Ive had it for a few years now and finally decided to go at it. Ive decided to go frame off in part to D.Menace 78 build and to do it right the first time. IM going with a street/circle track theme. The motor is still on the open mind list but im thinkin old school 355 forged internals alum head 450-500hp. 700r4 trans for the street/interstate driving upgraded 8.5 rearend w/locker 4:10 gear.4wheel disc brakes and areo 50 ser light weight racin wheels 15x10 295/50 rear 15x8 245/60 front. 4/5 static drop with possible ladder bars to keep everything staight back there. Let me know what yall think.

Re: 1984 silverado
Orange squares definitely look the part if you ask me. I'll be doing a two-tone paint job with mine this summer. I need to clean up some rust on the doors and by the rear window first. I want to do the traditional two tone, with the roof and back of the cab in white, and then orange/white/orange. I need to get some of the chrome molding and the cab trim, and that would set it off. Classic look. Bayou Boy, have you ever seen the reverse of your grille setup, with the 86 grille and the 83-84 headlight bezels? Looks good also. I love this body style for this reason the most, you can create a Frankentruck and it can look great!

Re: 1984 silverado
Yeah your truck would look classic with all the trim and white my 77 had the white top kind of 50s lookin. Yeah ive seen that grille set up but the color band on the "86" grille is wider than the trim on the 84 bezzels. Im tired of seeing "billet" grilies on everything u see, Im thinking of the 84 setup like yours now the egg crate is smaller plus it would be year correct but i already bought the whole oem grille and bezzels u see for it when i bought it, guess u can never have enough parts haha.
