Hood Hinge Lube ? oil?

what do you guys use to oil your hood hinges, i had mine powder coated and dont want to use something that will damage the powder coat........

i use white lithium....but mine aren't powder coated

Same, i use motor oil, last much longer and cleaner than a wd-40 type product

Same here. I use the spray can type with the red straw spray nozzle to get it where I want with out making to much of a mess.

I use motorcycle chain lube.
It sprays in (with a straw) as a thin liquid, then "Gels" into a much thicker, almost grease like consistency... so it stays put.
its also made to not attract grit/dirt(not sticky).. and it doesnt wash off as easily as oil.


downside is.. its not cheap.


other stuff i use is called Gunzilla... its a plant based dry lubricant spray. it also has some odd properties thats great for hinges and lasts longer then most light oils (WD40, motor oil, 3-in-1, etc)

I think I used motorcycle chain lube on mine as well. Seems to work good!
