84-85 grill upgrade

ok found another 84 grill in the junkyard to do. snagged it to make something with my billet grill i had laying around that i would have never used.

took the 84 apart painted the inside to match. turned out realy good. i like it

it dont line up perfect in the pics. it wasnt bolted down all the way. just a test fit.

Re: 84-85 grill upgrade

Would like to do this myself .ihave a billett on my 84 now ,but Idont have the 4 headlights --parking lamp under the headlight. -Istill have the stock 84 grill for a custom deluxe . Obviously ,Iwould have to find one on a burb -silverado etc. with the chrome outline . My center peice is molded into the whole peice (cannot be removed) OBVIOUSLY the one you found was removable . Iwould like also details of how you attached it to your billett.

Thx in advance ,

Will

the little clips the hold it to the grill they all rusted off. i cut up a old motor cycle license plate into slots that slid into the metal grill insets and put a zip tie around that and the billet rod. realy easy. and cant even tell its ziped tied on there. ill try to get you a pic of what im talking about

Re: 84-85 grill upgrade

looks good man, not trying to put your work down but it would look cleaner if you could remove some of the middle bars going horizontle, just cut em out and grind it down
