454 TBI Air Cleaner
In my current quest to get a bigger/less restrictive air cleaner for my suburban, I have noticed a couple of guys trucks on here that have what looks like a stock air cleaner, only with a bigger inlet to it. Does the 454 TBI air cleaner have a bigger neck than the 350 TBI air cleaners?
What I am talking about: That's LOW1TON's truck, and neck looks almost twice as wide as all the others I see. Also saw one other truck recently that looked like it was bigger too, but don't remember which thread I saw it in.

Re: 454 TBI Air Cleaner
Yes, that is the stock breather for the 454s. They obviously use a slightly different intake hose but both have the same diameter where it attaches to the rad support. This is the only pic I have of the rusty stock breather that came on my motor (on the stack of rims, far right corner) the width of the snout is the only real difference, the 454 breathers may also have a 90 degree crank case vent fitting coming out the bottom on the drivers side breather. I gave that stock one away to the guy that bought my 350 and hes had no problem with using it on a small block.

Re: 454 TBI Air Cleaner
I bought one of the old school Caddy style air cleaner bodies for my '87, but haven't been able to bring myself to start feeding the motor hot underhood air...
