yep, save some money and go to the yard and grab a 1 ton sway bar for the front and just put some new bushings in it.

Re: Sway bar brands
You can use a sway bar from any C/10 but its only 1". That is a nice improvement if you don't have any bar at all. If your going to have to find one, you may as well look for one from a C/20 or C30 as it is 1 1/8".

Re: Sway bar brands
Where have you looked? They can be found under any C/10 truck, Blazer or Burb. If you want the larger bar they are under any C/20 or C30.

Re: Sway bar brands
Try Craigslist. They have to sell used parts somewhere...

Re: Sway bar brands
I found a big ol' fat ass 1.25" bar under an 8 lug suburban at the local pick your part...I also chiseled the sway bar brackets off like a dumb ass...I wouldn't recommend getting the sway bar brackets unless they are bolt on..otherwise I'd just get them from ece or whomever...chiseling those rivits off will give you pop-eye arms in a hurry.

Re: Sway bar brands
If you feel the need to spend the money on aftermarket go ahead. We are just trying to save you a few bucks so you can spend it on other parts.

Re: Sway bar brands
Their is only so much technology you can put into a metal bar. Sure, there always will be something just a tad bit better. But at what expense?

Re: Sway bar brands
Since you already have a sway bar, it would be easy to upgrade to a larger factory bar. I'll bet once you get done with all new bushings and shocks, you will notice a BIG difference.

Re: Sway bar brands
I put new bushings in my C20 factory sway bar and it made a world of difference. If your bushings are shot that is the way I would go. I think I paid about $40 for aftermarket bushings (blue color, probably polyurethane). It was a big fat diameter bar, but a C20 is a lot heavier truck than and C10, so I bet your stock bar will do the job fine with good bushings. I sanded and painted the bar black while I was at it. I don't know if a fatter diameter bar will upset the geometry of your light weight front end.
