removing instrument cluster in my 63

Hi all

Any one out there that can tell me how to remove my cluster? all of the screws are out and the speedo cable is off, it slides about 1/2 way out and seems like something is holding it. HELP!

I suspect it is just getting hung up on the opening, if you have the screws out and the cable undone.
A good pull should get it out and then you can unplug the cluster wiring.
Greg.

Re: removing instrument cluster in my 63

Take a flat blade screwdriver under the bottom edge of the cluster and gently lift while working it out...

Re: removing instrument cluster in my 63

when taking out the one from my 64, it got hung up on some tabs sticking out from the metal dash hole. they didn't have anything to do with the mounting of the cluster or switches so I just bent them down with some pliers and the cluster came out easy.

take a look with a trouble light underneath and see whats catching.
