My new ride 1984 Chevy Sliverado short fleet

Ok, well if you read in the 60 -66 thread I own a 1966 step that was originally bought by my Grandfather and passed to my Dad, then myself.
here is my build thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=410509

Recently, I was going to sell my "98 Trans Am and buy my friend's 2006 Ford F-150 FX4. Until this week I was talking with my grandfather and he tells me he will buy a new truck this summer and give his 1984 Sliverado

Now I can sell my Trans am, use some of the cash to fix up my "66, and have the 84 pickup for my daily driver.

Here is the "84. It not the original paint but untouched interior

Yes thats says 85,184

Re: My new ride 1984 Chevy Sliverado short fleet

The only thing i'm doing is upgrading the stereo system. Other than that not a thing.

I thought about lowering the rear to level the truck but I dont want to piss off my grandfather. We have a close relationship and dont want to mess that up.
I can still remember when he first bought this truck; I was 3 years old.

Very nice! '66 is probably my favorite non-square year. I got a LeBaron K car from my grandfather when he passed away, so you're doing all right bud!

Yeah for years he talked about buying a new truck. I would always tell him, you still have a new truck.

Bed rails are staying. by the way

bed rails can stay, but you should do a nice 4/6 or so static drop. Would look killer....

congrats in the "new" truck too
