When I go to car/truck shows many of the cars and trucks have themes. I have been thinking about what direction that I wanted to go...then I realized that our truck were born to be worked on the farm as a way of life and not built as “corvette” optioned muscle truck. I’m talking in the truck made up to the 70’s. But as we know the 67-72 Trucks were our trucks migrated from a bare bones work horse to be a potential highly optioned truck with car like features. I wanted to focus on the “work” heritage of our trucks. Yes my truck is highly optioned but first and foremost it was built to be work vehicle on the farm. With this in mind I remember hauling feed sacks from the elevator to home in my dad’s 1954 Chevy truck…so what is more appropriate than a truck with a “Burlap Feed Sack” theme. With the above said…I give you my theme for the Circuit Rider. Enjoy.

I will be filling these sacks with peanuts so they will look like they are full of feed grain.

Very neat! There's several of these bundled up with old bailing twine hanging from the rafters in my dads old barn and grainery. After looking at these it makes me want to cut them down and have a closer look! Thanks for sharing. Joseph

It would be itchy, but you should make seat covers out of some burlap to follow the theme!!

70cst, I think your feed sack theme is a good one. Not all feed sacks were burlap, some were cloth. My grandpa always saved those sacks and grandma would make drapes, clothes, and quilts out of them. Lot's of feed sack quilts on ebay. I plan on a "farm charm" theme for my truck. Don't forget the bail of hay and a pitch fork.

I have an 1800" black smith made fork that I might displayed.

I liked txfirefighters truck with the Ayers shop theme, and TCB-1 with the mower I believe in the back.

I know this thread is long forgotten but I came across these images of the sacks and think they are fantastic. I'm from/in england and I'm looking for sacks like these.

You'd be surprised. They live them over here. Loads of people have never had one and they go down a treat. We do guys proud. Everything's homemade and stuffed full. We get a lot of yanks who have one saying how they miss them back home.

Suggestion.. Fill them with styrofoam shipping peanuts so they will be full and very light and the shipping peanuts won't deteriorate over time.
