Body Swap, what year trucks can i use?
I have a 68 chevy body I want to swap onto a 4x4. up to what year can i buy to swap over the body? thanks!

you can use anything you want you just need to cut alter and fabricate and weld to make it look good

if you can fab up mounts, relocate the rear end, and that sort of stuff, then a 73 - 87 frame will work ... otherwise, 67 - 72

If you're fine with fab work etc then get any chassis you want. We put a buddy's truck on a early 90s frame although now we might switch it to a 2000+ frame. It's all just a matter of how much time you have on your hands and how much work you want to do.
If you don't care about being original and just want a 4x4 with new stuff, get a newer truck chassis. If you want a 4x4 to raise up and go mud running etc with stick with any older 70s-80s solid front axle chevy.
