bbc engine mount stand/ tower????

hey guys i am having trouble locating a set of bbc engine towers on line i ordered them from two suppliers the both discontinued them and i am going to a yard this weekend but i would like to know of any place you guys know of to get them if this falls through and they dont have any this is the last thing that needs to be done so i can get her runnin again! thanks

is it for the 67 in your signature or a different year? Are you wanting to be factory correct? If not you can use 73-87 mounts if you don't mind drilling a couple extra holes in the frame. They look very similar to the 72 only mounts but they have two "bumps" on the top vs. 1 on the 72's.

yeah im looking for the factory correct ones i would just upgrade to the newer style but i have already payed the big $$$ for the mounts..... so im just gonna go this route the engine i am putting in is far from orig.... sad to say i have 1700 into this engine swap and the enigine aint even in the truck yet! lol

So, you already got the $90-$100 mounts? That is the difficult Part. The stands can be found on the parts board. Become a supporting member and post a Want-to-BUY thread and you should have some in no time.

Most people don't use the 68-71 stands because the mounts cost so much, but sounds like you already bought them.

yep i bought them not realizing that they would not work with the sbc stands.... they are 80 bucks a side thats why im kinda stuck going this way if i have no luck saturday ill post up the guy is pretty decent with his prices as long as you say yes sir thank you sir to him! lol i got a decent bumper all the brackets and the nose of the frame all for a 100 bux parts are gettin few and far between around here.....

no luck at the yard some nice old trucks there was a 67 suburban pannel there with the small windows behind the d&p doors pretty sweet looking but rough...... i got a bumper the front of the frame and the brackets for a 100 bux! guess i will go visit too much stuff! thanks for the help fellas!
