Fully removable top ?'s
I used to have a 71 Jimmy and Im currently trying to talk my wife into letting me get another one (Im telling her its for her lol) but while I was looking through CL I ran across this. I thought the full convertible was 69-72 (I guess they didnt do a 68?) and then it went to the removable top from behind the front seats but this is a 73 with a fully removable top, just curious thanks

Re: Fully removable top ?'s
All of em. The half top didn't start until the '76 model year.

Re: Fully removable top ?'s
Just for kicks, any opinions on that one that was listed above? I want a full convertible but I'm partial to the square body Blazers (despite the fact that I was almost born in a 72! Literally!)

Re: Fully removable top ?'s
First Gen Blazers (rounded body) from 69-72
Second Gen Full Top Convertible (squared body) 73-75 Second Gen Half Top Convertible (76+) That blue 73 has been for sale in seattle for a while now. I'm guessing you could talk them down in price. It looks to me like the driver's side has been hit at some point (missing the trim, etc.). I'd look hard at the repair job to make sure it doesn't have bondo (trim holes are filled). I've seen a few really nice 73-75s for sale around here in the past. They don't demand as much as the first generations but more than the half-top versions. Here's a 2wd in Portland with a funny paint job - http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2198116315.html They do look nice with late model front clips. I've seen a few late model trucks converted to full top convertibles using the top and windshield frame from a 73-75.

Re: Fully removable top ?'s
Yeah, I think that blue one above looks like it would be more work than what I want, just wondered what the eagle eyes here thought about it.
I'm keeping my eye out for something a bit nicer - I don't want (another) project right now. I'm looking for a 4x4 daily driver, and my wife is definitely pushing for an 88-91 over the 73-75. I actually prefer the older grill (73-80) over the newer ones. You never know, if I find the right ochre 69-72 to match my 71 C20 I would pull the trigger on it.

Re: Fully removable top ?'s
Can't tell much from the pictures, but it might be worth looking into.
