Rim and Tire size on 2 1/2" - 4" drop?

One thing I didn't do in my exitement when I started my build, is take tire-to-fender measurements. Now she's all apart, and I'm almost to the point of needing my new rims/tires.

Front drop is via lowering spindles, and I used CPP front disc conversion kit - 3" backspacing recommeded.
Rear drop is via lowering springs, Drum brakes. No fenders or box on yet.

Do I have room for 16" front, 17" rear rims? Hadn't planned for low profile tires, although I do like the look.

Photos and ideas? Thanks boys,
Ron

I have 28" tall tires on 9.5" wide rims with a 2" front 4" rear drop with no problems. In fact i would like to lower it a little more. It has to much room between the tire and fender for my liking.

Thanks
Any backspacing issues with front discs?

Also used my stock front springs, so some extra drop there too.

I've got the same 2.5"/4" drop, 17x8s up front (with stock original springs), a 5" backspace and 255/50/17 tires. No clearance problems at all. In the rear I have 17x9.5" wheels, 5.5" backspace and 275/50.17 tires. No issues there either.
