Re: Another wierd craigslist truck

The workmanship looks pretty decent but it does win the odd rod award of the week. I'd say it's what happens when a truck guy with too many extra spare parts laying around drinks too many beers and starts playing "what If"? But I am always guilty playing that " what If" game myself so I sure can't pick on the truck.

Looks like some nice work, but to quote someone else here on the forum, "just because you can do it, doesn't mean that you should". LOL.

Re: Another wierd craigslist truck

if I had to pull a large trailer to the track, that would be a perfect truck...
well.. that, if the rear axle was actually powered or atleast supported the weight... and if it had a diesel... lol.

Re: Another wierd craigslist truck

Man, my 15yr old son would dig that. He has a 49 1ton sitting out back and his dream is to build a 6x6 out of. I think I have talked him off the ledge enough to realize a 4x4 is a whole lot more practical. I'm not showing him that truck or he will get on the 6x6 kick again, lol.

Re: Another wierd craigslist truck

Some people seem to like the extended cabs but it's not for me. I saw a 57 at Mike Chessor's place that he had extended the cab on and it looked just wrong to me. I can see the benefit if you are going to make some trips in the truck.

Remember the trend for the 6x6 trucks around the early 90s?

Re: Another wierd craigslist truck

Sure do. I remember a bunch of s10's and Nissan pickups like that. Just a passing fad, thank goodness.
