Re: Parking Brake set up Pics. ???
Kieth's pictures show a 66 set up.
The 64-65 have a lever assy attached to the transmission crossmember. I really dont know about what the 60-63 have. Sorry I am not much help for you. Here is LMC's page 89 that shows the parts you would need, looks like 60-62 is alike, 63 is by it's lonesome, 64-65 are the same and 66 are different that all the others. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cbe/full.aspx?Page=89

Re: Parking Brake set up Pics. ???
The '66-'72 parking brake cable assembly would be the easiest to retrofit to your truck.

Re: Parking Brake set up Pics. ???
When I bought my truck it didn't have the parking brake cables hooked up, or the crossmember with the lever mechanism.
I made one to use with the stock handle. Then later on I installed a floor mount parking brake and reworked the lever mechanism as shown below. Basically I used some old shifter linkage to make a spliter bar and a spring I bought from the local hardware store. Hope this helps, John Last edited by lakeroadster; 02-10-2011 at 06:31 PM. |
