I'm having trouble clearing the lower A arm with the inner ball joint due to the fact that I notched my crossmember 1.5". It would be nice just to change out the pitman arm to something with less of an offset. Thanks.

I was talking to the guy that I bought my last power steering box from about changing my manual box to a power steering box. He suggested also changing my pitman arm also as it had a differant angle to it. You might find a manual and a power steering arm and compare them. If I can find his card I will PM you with his phone number.

I dont think you will find a pitman for the power box with a different offset, unless somebody has an aftermarket version. you might talk with Turner enterprises, as they do notched crossmembers......maybe they have dealt with the problem. i had to take a look at my 69(it has a stock crossmember), but it does look like there could be interferance issues with the inner tierod, with a dropped crossmember. Are you using the 67-72 arms, or the 73 up style?

Can't really say on the angle but I did notice that the splines were different 1 was smaller circumference than the other 1 I swapped out from manual 2 power on 69 2wd

Thanks fellas. I was going through the LMC catalog and they only show one power steering pitman arm. That goes along with your post and what I've heard from others. I guess I'll have to slot the mounting holes so I can raise the box .25".
