My 62 and intro
Ive been looking around this site for a little while now, and finally thought id register and say hello. There is lots of good info here. My name is Scott. i have a couple other hotrods but Ive been wanting an old Chevy pickup for a few years now and finally got one. Its a 62 with a 235 four speed. It came from texas so it's pretty solid, but all the paint is burnt off. I plan on putting a 5speed in it and cruising it around this year. So far i lowered the truck, new wheels and tires, built a new bed floor, 2.8 s10 electronic ign, just to name a few things. heres a few pics..

Re: My 62 and intro
Welcome to the forum. Nice looking truck. Even the rockers, fenders and cab corners seem to be in good shape.

Re: My 62 and intro
thanks everyone for the feedback on the truck. yeah, it defenitly has the weathered look.. My buddy and i machined the 2.8 distributor, it worked out good and seems to run smooth. hopefully it doesnt do too bad on fuel because id like to maybe make it my daily driver during the fair weather months. i will put the bumpers back on, they are farm bumpers or something.

Re: My 62 and intro
Well thought i would post an updated pic of the 62. i have been driving the wheels off of it for over a month now and really like it. It's been handy to have, used it to move into my new house and my daily driver ford ranger has been giving me issues so the 62 has been there for me lately..
