Those with the Midnight Moose Conversion Kit
Ok how in the heck do you change the bulbs? I have a phantom grille so I'm hoping that I don't have to take the grille off to change them. Do I need to take the rubber boots off the back and pull it that way? Small area where the boots are. All info appreciated.

I did have them but swapped them out for Sylvania Silverstars, but yes, you need to remove the rubber cover, after you unplug them of course. Be careful and don't handle the bulbs or they will blow real quick, because they are halogen.

Really, to tell you the truth, I wasn't very satisfied with the Midnight Moose conversion. At first I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. But the more I drove at night, which BTW, was not a lot, the more I disliked them. At first they seemed brighter to me, over sealed beams. I know they are, but I can't really explain it, but I found it hard to see with them. I live in an area fairly busy on the streets. No way you can ever use high beams any length of time. It got to where I just couldn't see where I was going. Old age probably has a whole lot to do with this part. Anyway, I seen someone saying something about the Silverstars. Well, I went to Sylvanias website to investigate. Sure enough, there they were. It had a thing where you could see who sold them. Advance auto parts was one of them. I go the next day and buy a set. At $57.00 for the pair, they ain't cheap. Well, there is no comparison between the Silverstars and the MM conversions. I can see once again. Believe or not, at one time I was really thinking about going the full HID conversion route. But at $450.00 bucks or so, the thought soon left my head. Anyone need some Midnight Moose headlights? These are for single headlights, not quad. I have two I will let go of pretty cheap. LOL Oh, I forgot to add, the MM's do look cool as all get out. The blue hue is real nice, but I couldn't get used to it. Mike |
