rear gear ratio ?

Need the experts to confirm what rear gear ratio I have from a '71 2wd LWB 350 w/ 3 speed column shift. Pulled the cover off the 12 bolt rear end and found the following numbers stamped on the ring gear:

3817779 14 43 GM 2-71 along with some other numbers that did not get a good stamping. Can not be read.

By doing the math (divide 43 by 14 = 3.0714285 or 3.07 gear ratio. I also counted the ring teeth (43) and pinion teeth (14) to confirm what I thought the 14 & 43 numbers referred to. ( I am not much for rear axle knowledgez) So the gear is 3.07 or is it 3.08 ?

After I know for sure what I have, the rear end will be on the sale block as it won't do much good for my 71 4x4. Just want to know for sure what I am selling before I offer it. Thanks to all who reply.
