Talking In my opinion... the PERFECT Rat Rod

Alright, I was in Florida for the month of January and I ran across a '57 Chevy truck with a holmes tow truck assembly in the bed.

I had planned on buying it, and I even went and looked at it. However, I bought another 70 Suburban while I was down there and shipped it home, and my wife said if I bought another one, I would be searching for a place to stay... and since Suburban's dont make good homes, I am going to have to pass.

But, I thought there might be another "visionary" here who can see the cool factor with this truck in regards to a rat rod. I did a quick sketch of what I had in mind.

I am including his Craigslist ad at the bottom of the page. He is asking $2,500 for it, BUT ... I made his wife an offer of $1,600 and she said they would take it. When I went to look at it, he wasn't happy with the offer, but said he would take it since she had agreed. Thought that might help your negotiations. (however, I would prefer you leave my conversations out of your negotiations-if he accepted it for me, he'll accept it for you) It is located in Port Saint Lucie Florida between Miami and Daytona.

This is his craigslist ad ... contact him, not me. If you wanna buy it from me... the price is $4k firm, lol

Yeah, I am not a fan of the "Rat Rod" at all, but this one just SCREAMS rat rod tow truck. In fact, I wouldn't even be interested in it if it were just a plain '57 Chevy 3600 pickup. Too many out there in better condition.

The wrecker makes it unique.
