Hello Everyone

Hello, In October I bought a 1969 C/10 longbed to replace the 1970 I had when I was in high school, the day after Christmas I was hit while sitting at a traffic light, and found this bulleting board while gathering information on how to put her back together, I'm still in the process of repairing, and while it is down have decided to add Disc Brakes, I have found very useful information. and would like to thank everyone for taking time to offer suggestions and tip, with a little luck I have her completed in two weeks.

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments, I'll be on Vacation for the next 2 weeks, and plan to solely devote it to getting her back on the road

Insurace Company

after dealing with the insurance company I think I dislike them evan more, they were tring to tell me that the truck is only work $1800, and wanted to total it out, after several days of arguing over the phone finally got them to agree on a reasonable enough amount that I could get it fixed, since I'm doing the work myself I'll have enough left over to convert to front Disc, and ad a tilt steering column.

Welcome from northern Ohio. Man that's one sweet looking truck, sorry to see it messed up. My old burb was wrecked on the other side just like that three day's before I bought it. A new fender, bumper, and few parts from my other truck, and she was back on the road. Just shows how tough these trucks are.

Welcome from the big city of Brock Texas. I'm sorry to see your truck messed up, but it still puts mine to shame!

Good luck getting it back together, and with the disc conversion.

Today I started the first real day of repair, I allready removed the fender grille, and bumper, I mounted the new inner grille in the new grille shell, Looks sweet, I don't have my camera with me or I would post a picture, Also started preping an area on the drivers side bed to repair a dent. ran out of daylight, and start pulling apart a van tilt steering column, I will keep everyone posted on satus

whatanerd....

Great looking truck, sorry to see the damage.

Did you damage the core support?

Since you are changing the front crossmember, and I'm assuming it's a 5 lug. What are you going to do with the rearend.

My insurance company is the same, and I've been with them since 1968.

They said if I wanted to have it appraised, they would insure it accordingly. Which means alot higher rate. Seems like all they do is raise rates and say no....

Keep us posted...........
