Re: cement price..help?

Their pouring my shop tomrrow, They dug the 12"x12" footer with a true 4" floor and rebar on 2' centers for 2.50 per foot X 4000 sq ft= 10k. I could have got the cement for 95 bucks x 65 yards= 6175. plus the backhoe work, the forming boards and rebar and probley saved 2500, but me and dad pouring 65 yards would be murder.

I payed $85/yard for 6-sack mud, and there was no extra delivery charges, in addition, I spent another grand to have a crew come in pour/finish the slab for me. Also, I had to get a pump truck for another $300 because the concrete truck couldn't get close enough.

Call around to see what you get for bids. I found that equipment rental places can give recommendations if you don't have somebody lined up already...

Re: cement price..help?

Don't know our local prices here but I will
agree with cdowns on placing some anchors
in the floor...studs, rings or whatever.

Called a redneck frame rack.
You won't regret it the day you need it.
