Lug Nut Size

I am looking for the right size lug nuts, I have a 69' Chevy with a 5 lug 71' conversion on the front and back. Think it's a 1/2 x 20 but not sure. Thanks

Re: Lug Nut Size

the oldschool way to figure out what size you have is to measure it

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but how is a lug nut measured. 1/2 x 20 was what I heard from some one about lug nuts for our trucks so i was trying to confirm that

you take the stud and measure the outside diameter usually with a caliper is best thats your first number
then you measure 1/2"length and count the number of threads then you multiply that number by two and you end up with the thread count per inch and you've got your second part of the number
