How do these fit and what do they actually do

I need to know if anyone knows what these do and which way they go in the exhaust pipes? I have new gaskets on the the way they seem to fit but I am undecided on how they work. I have stock manifolds. The one has a smaller hole than the other one. Motor is a 350 4bl 350 auto. Mods please move if I posted in the wrong area. I am hoping more people here would know.

Those are donut gaskets and they help seal your exhaust pipe to the manifold. It looks like your are mounted on some tyoe of guides to keep them lined up properly. I've never seen those before. Usually they just fit in between the manifold and pipe.

Those are to prevent from burning out the donut gaskets so easily. They fit between the manifold and the first pipe. Help preventing leaks at the manifold. Pretty self explanatory on intallation they only fit one way with the gasket on it..

well, self explanatory but they are different. Which side does which one go? I was guessing the one with the smaller hole goes on the drivers side? They both fit into the exhaust the same way. Either could go on either side. I want to make sure I put the one with the smaller hole on the correct side

IMHO, the one on the right looks like the fitting for a stock ramhorn manifold.
The one on the left is someone elses guess.

They, if you have the stock ramhorns (I assume on a '68 SBC V-8),
they should both be the same, size and fitting wise..

Those can be made at a exhaust shop. Both should be the same identical in size. My guess is the one is a shop's custom version poorly done.

The right one looks factory. The left looks like a home made one out of a piece of exhaust pipe to fit.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I'd cut the one on the left down to eliminate the reduction. Not sure what that's all about but what good comes from restricting exhaust flow?
