Arrow Some pictures to share

I got my 72 cheyenne super delivered!!! Build thread on that to follow soon. Going to be a frame off....here's a couple quick pictures of that since I know you guys will ask

Getting ready for a bath

After the bath

The brother of the gentleman I bought it from is a really great guy and a fellow truck enthusiast. Really he collects anything old including tractors (Mainly Olivers-used to go to pulls (and win) with them)
He's got a lot of nice ones and several more parts trucks....and a TON of parts. So he's going to be a great contact to have.

Here's some pictures from his homestead

what's that you say...but there's an extra spot under cover that needs to be filled? Yes, yes it does....

some more olivers

In his back barn was hidden this beauty with a 56? cheby next to it

And to keep it 67-72 relevant he has these....

a nice "circuis wagonesque" 68

and this cool original flatbed (on the SPID)

a sierra grande

and a super

He's got at least 6 more at his shop but those are under construction or parts trucks. His son has a nice 67 he's building also. Just a cool family to know. Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!!

Re: Some pictures to share

Those were excellent pics VA what a really cool place with some great classic autos...that's just what I want, a place with some land a barn and various out buildings with cars and Trucks stored in them that I can tinker on for the rest of my days...ahhh heaven.

The frame on your 72 looks like everything has been P.Coated or painted when it was all assembled as even exposed threads on the tie rods and the grease Zerks on the A.arms are black and shiny.

I really want a place like this the next time we move

Yes, parts of the frame/suspension were definitely painted once assembled. I have an urge to pull it all apart and paint it the correct way, but it looks good and will keep everything from rusting so I might just leave good enough alone....maybe

It wasn't his...it was his brother's who is going through some health issues. I don't think anything is for sale at this time. Other than he mentioned he was going to start thinning the herd of Olivers

He had the trailer to deliver it and also had parts I needed. Got a 4 core rad, the clamshell mts for the big block, NOS cheyenne 10 emblems and headliner chrome, some 72 antique plates, a tach, big block exhaust manifolds, and some small parts.
