CLR use on headers ?

I am wondering after seeing the results of clr on oxidized an rusty body panels if you would think the product CLR would work on headers? I have used hi temp paint, BBQ grill paint, I have even seen the brush on header paint turn pink. So any thoughts of this or another product short of getting then jet coated. I am just not ready to spend that money yet. I just want a uniform consistent color that lasts on my headers. Thoughts ideas thanks...

Re: CLR use on headers ?

bump for some more insight... Not familiar with anyone that has used this process.

What about having them sand blasted, followed by high temp paint?

Re: CLR use on headers ?

And cdowns is right. Carefull when you first warm it up a few times till the coating bakes on. Noxious fumes!!
