"Draggin Rights" - 78' LWB
This will be my build up of my 1978 C-10 Long bed, I began the build in 2004, worked on it for about a year on and off with my father stripping it down to bare frame, repairing the rust in the cab corners and rockers, we originally planned on just a basic restore, but then we went crazy and bought an KP components 6 link rear suspension, and "z"ed the front 3" and cut a section of frame from under the cab so the rockers could sit flat on the ground, then my father and I got into an argument over something stupid with the truck and I stopped working on it and she has sat in the same place ever since...Well, its time to revive her, and finish her up, so I will be posting pics of how the build was going back then from start to current state, then updating from there. Here is a pic of the truck the day I bought it, $500, it wasnt in too bad of shape, the normal rust for a east coast truck, and it only had like 50k on the odometer.

Re: "Draggin Rights" - 78' LWB
So first on the list, is to go through everything I bought before, because I have changed my plans a little. I am thinking of shaving doors, taillights. I want to keep the tailgate, I cut a hole in the bed for the notch, but now i want to just raise the bed floor, so i need to find another 8 foot bed floor. I also want to do 22's instead of 20's. So I have my 20" Boyd Coddingtons that you seen in the pictures for sale. I want to get some chrome 22's since it will be driven daily I dont want polished wheels.
I will get some more pics this weekend of any progress I make! |

Wow that looks great! I wish I would have thought about raising my floor before I cut a big hole in it! It is almost impossible finding a bed floor in decent shape.

Re: "Draggin Rights" - 78' LWB
Well, this weekend I got a chance to fab up some air tanks for the truck. Each tank should hold 6 gallons of air. They are made from 8" sch 40 pipe!! strong as an OX. I guess thats the good side to working as a Pipe fitter!
And last but not least, me and the Fiance' on the "bucket" seat....5 gallon style. |

its just a 350 block with a random set of heads / covers and a tunnel ram, for mocking up the firewall.
