Cab & Nose Question

I've searched for a couple hours now and cant find the answer I'm looking for... I have a '79 frame and body parts, nose, doors etc.. the cab off the truck was shot and had to scrap. I bought picked up a '86 rust free cab for $100 bucks. will the cab just swap into place of the old '79 cab? If not what do I need?

I want to say it is a direct replacement. There might be minor changes for the firewall holes, but overall I think the cab mounts are the same.

Re: Cab & Nose Question

make sure you save the wiper posts and linkage off the 79 cab to put on the new cab.

Re: Cab & Nose Question

The only thing you might need to double check are the rubber cab mount bushings and figure out which to use as the 73-80 ones are slightly different than the 81-87 ones, if I recall correctly.
