64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
I've heard only 5% of these trucks were automatics? Will other year GM wide brake pedal trucks fit? 67 and up?
Thx, Roy

Probably easier to just cut the wide pedal off a donor and weld it on your existing. I know thats not what your asking, but thought i'd just mention it.

Re: 64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
I don't believe autos came with a wider brake pedal until 73, I know the 67-72 uses a smaller pedal. If you really want a wide pedal, you could see if you could find a newer one and take the pedal, arm and all, and replace the one in your truck. Just measure the length of the arm, the offset and see what you can find to work. Good luck with your project.

Re: 64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
As ConnDemned said, the early auto trucks didn't have a wider brake pedal pad. The one in my Burb is the same brake pedal as a manual trans truck. If you want a wider pedal pad, I would say some cutting and welding will be involved.

Re: 64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
Thanks all! For some reason, I thought there was a easy swap out there for a wider pedal. The 64 C10 I had a few years ago had one, maybe they did weld it . . .
Thanks again for the info! Roy

Re: 64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
I just got home from a local junk yard that had two trucks with auto pedals one was a 60 and the other was a 66 and the brake pedal is the same in all the truck auto or stick.

Re: 64-66 Automatic Brake Pedal? Other Years Fit?
I stripped a 64-66 GMC 1T a couple years ago, and it had the same small brake pedal as my 64 Chevy Suburban factory automatic. However, the GMC pedal(stick) had the word POWER cast into the pedal. Never seen another like it! This one was like new, and now adorns my 64 Suburban. Anyone else come across these?
