It all seems strange, but I guess it makes your truck famous??? It's a total misrepresentation! The kit's a long bed so it will never look like yours So they give credit for the model part pictures to someone else but none to who owns the real truck?

I think it should be taken as a compliment that someone should save a pick of your truck and post it up from time to time. As long as they don't give the impression it's theirs.

Been there... had it happen.
That's the WWW (world wide web) at its best.

People use my girl's pics all the time, pretending to be a hot blonde..... it's ridiculous.... I wouldn't have a problem if someone used pics of my truck though....

Yea, I am starting to see photo's of my burb being used by strangers as well.
At first I was a little miffed, but then I got over it and became a little flattered in the end.

I'm guessing anyone using my truck would just be using it for its' junk appearance. I'd love for mine to be done and used as a resource.

Re: people use pic's of my truck to sell stuff ?
I posted some pics of some custom loudspeaker cabinets I designed and built a while back, about six months later I got an email from a guy wanting to buy my design, it was less money that I was getting for a pair of them so I said no. About six months after that a pretty large loudspeaker company came out with some cabinets that were identical to mine, I actually thought they were mine for a while. I even talked to an attorney to see if I could do anything about it, he told me it wouldn't be worth the time and money, he said anytime you post an unregistered picture on the Internet it's fair game.
I took it as a compliment after that. Be careful what you post! Anyone can take it for their own. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |
