looking for info on a build here on the board?
Hey guys,
Ohter day I was surfing the builds and someone was building a early 60's truck with the gen IV motor and was looking at using the stock gauge cluster? Any idea who that was and if so did the gauges get worked into the porject or did yall go another route? thanks Sean

I dont know which one your reffering to but I hope my opinion helps you a bit. I would think you would need to rebuild the cluster to start off with. I am not sure if the water temp sender would fit into the Pass head or in the DS head, or if at all. The oil pressure sender would fit behind the intake, fuel would be same if left alone as far as the sender. you would need to run a non electric trans for the speedo.

Re: looking for info on a build here on the board?
Hey Clyde,
No no lol. What I saw was using the gen IV cluster from the donor vehicle in the guys truck. The cluster he had was from the 99 or so up chevy tahoe or truck I was wondering how that worked out if at all? I have a cluster that will work but am always happier to use gm stuff then aftermarket ifn i can get away with it due to easier parts supply issues. I am doing the full electronic engine and trans myself and as of yet NO one makes a manual speedo tailhousing for a 6l80 as of yet Thanks Sean
