Using Blazer for parts

My wife is desperately wanting a 72 4x4, she's got the 72, now i need to make the 4x4 part. 4x4's are hard to find around here, in west michigan, but i have a friend who may be willing to part with his 72 Blazer (body's junk), would the axles, springs, spring mounts, and crossmembers work on a 2wd frame??

We've got a Long Box truck, like to keep it that way.
