Upholstery Prices
I'm trying to get some price quotes on getting my seats recovered. I've got 2 utility buckets and a 3rd row suburban seat. My buckets need foam work while the 3rd row just needs recovering. I got an estimate of $1200 to $1400. I'm wondering what some of ya'll paid. The estimate includes painting the frames and any spring repairs. The material is marine grade. These folks do both cars and boats.

Re: Upholstery Prices
A few years ago I was told $200 each for bucket seats but that was just replacing worn out cloth with good quality vinyl. I imagine taking it down to the frame, painting, foam & repairing springs adds a good bit of $ to the price.

Re: Upholstery Prices
I was approached a few months back by a guy who does interior out of his garage. He quoted me 400 for recovering the front buckets and rear bench. No paint/foam/spring repair since I don't need it. Can't really compare side job prices to shop price, but the guy showed me a bench and 2 buckets he was doing and he did nice work.

Pictures can be of someone elses work too. I usually just ask around at the hotrod and car shows where people get stuff done.

Re: Upholstery Prices
I actually laid hands on their work. It looked great. I'm still going to shop around. I do like the idea of marine grade material.

Re: Upholstery Prices
mine cost me 350 for everything you mentioned buy i also had 400 or so in seat covers that the shop that did mine had to modify bc the buckets in my truck are late 70s so they are more narrow at the top. so my total was 750-800
