Re: Fiberglass cowl hood problems

If you don't wanna cut up the cowl you might have to use hood pins to hold it down then completely remove it when you wanna open it... the only other thing i could think of is to put like some roller thing that would allow the hood to open then you pull it towards you then up so it puts more space between the hood and the windsheild

Re: Fiberglass cowl hood problems

What kind of hood is it? Was it designed as a pin hood, or hinge hood? Hoods that were designed to be pinned down sometimes have a longer cowl then the hoods designed to be hinged, because it won't matter if it interferes with the windshield.

Re: Fiberglass cowl hood problems

suicide hood would solve that problem.. i have done it to many trucks using stock buick skylark hinges.. with a c10 hood you have to cut the crossbar and extend it. then just fab up some hooks for the back of the hood and figure out where you need to add a bushing to lock it in place when closed..
