'72 Cheyenne Lug Nuts

I have a '72 Cheyenne with factory lug nuts on the wheels. I bought a jack with tools off this site that was for a '70 Cheyenne. Are the lug nuts on a '72 bigger than the '70? I put the tire iron that I got with the jack on the '72 lug nuts but the tire iron is too small. Anyone ever had this problem? Thanks, Casey

Re: '72 Cheyenne Lug Nuts

yes the 71/72 are a different size than the earlier 6 lug versions- the rotors utilize a 1/2" stud over the 7/16" used in the earlier versions. The 6 lug rotors on the 4x4 trucks (1/2 ton) use the 7/16" studs as well.

Re: '72 Cheyenne Lug Nuts

All 71/72 trucks have larger lugs than 67/70. Not just Cheyenne.

X2

Get a 4 way. It will fit the truck, and the trailer you borrowed or were forced to tow for somebody because you own a truck.
