What are you going to do with all the extra space in your cab!?
How does the carpet fit? Did you put any jute padding under there at all? Or is it just the sound deadening and then carpet?

Looks nice, I think you could have squeezed a couple more years out of that old carpet!

What did you do for the fuel tank filler?

The carpet came with jute padding on all but under the seat. As for the extra space, I will probably put a sound system in eventually.

The carpet was soaked with gas so it had to go. I thought I took a pic of the filler but I guess I didn't. I will take a pic tomorrow. I put it on the back side of the wheel well on the driver's side. And I got the filler from

https://greatlakesskipper.com/produc...deck-fill.html

They have a lot to chose from. I chose the black one so it wouldn't be so noticeable against my bed liner. I will get the pic posted tomorrow.

Re: New Gas Tank Installed....CHECK

Do you have room for a hidden hitch also, reason I ask is im wanting to get rid of the tank behind the seat and I dont want to go to a fuel cell in the bed, I wanted to do a setup like yours, new interior looks great BTW

After shipping it was $240. That was everything included except nuts and bolts. I didn't use the j bolts they sent. I just went to home depot.

I don't see why you couldn't use a hidden hitch but I don't have one. So I'm not totally sure.

Re: New Gas Tank Installed....CHECK

My stock in cab tank was leaking fuel along the bottom. The inside was very rusty and I cleaned it out about six months ago. It only stated leaking about a month ago. I could not see any holes BUT when the tank was out of the truck I could see it drip gas out in two spots, I looked at those two spots up close and still couldn't see a hole. Over a twelve hour period it leaked about a half gallon. So no bueno. I wanted the extra space in the cab for speakers later. Since the weight was moved to the back of the truck it sits level now. No more rake. I'm really happy with the results.

Great idea...guess you could also fill from the fender well area if you didn't want to cut a hole in the wheel well.

Re: New Gas Tank Installed....CHECK

Yes it is the blazer tank from Classic Industries.

I got the peal and seal in the roofing and flashing section at Lowe's. It is actually made for window flashing. All sizes were 33 ft long in widths of 4", 6" and 9". I got the 9" for $14. I used a lot. I used 5 1/2 rolls. I doubled up on the back wall and under the seat. Then tripled it on the floor. I also did the doors so when I close them they don't rattle and they sound solid.

What lines did you buy from O'Reilly's and how much of it? I am in the process of doing this very project on two different 72's, a short step and a long fleet.
