Passlock 2 Bypass
Has anyone ever done this to there truck,I switched out my key and tumbler and the dreaded no start has returned.I have done a little internet surfing on this subject, seems most people put a diode in the yellow wire to fool the security basically just bypass the security .I don't care if it has a security system or not,was just wondering if any of you guys have done or had someone do this ,my truck is a 01 Silverado.

Re: Passlock 2 Bypass
I have never done this, but a little research led me to this:
30 minute passlock learn procdure for the vehicle to start if the bcm,pcm or ign. lock cylinder are replaced. Crank, die leave key on ten mins till security light stops flashing, repeat procedure one second time repeat procedure one third time Turn key off and crank vehicle after the lamp times out the third time VTD passwords are retransmitted and vehicle will start and run. |

Re: Passlock 2 Bypass
What year is your truck? Disconnect BOTH battery cables. touch them together, and clamp them this way for 10 minutes or so. I will use a set of vise grips and just walk away. Reconnect them, and see if she starts. Then connect a battery charger to the truck. turn the key on and walk away for at least 1 hour. The system goes brain dead, and gives up at this point. Should start after that.

Re: Passlock 2 Bypass
My truck is an 01 ,I have done the re-learn a coupla different times with no luck .I replaced the tumbler and keys and then the re-learn again still the light and no start will come back.Let me say that this is a on going problem Ive had for a while.I get ready to go somewhere and go to start the truck and it will start /die security light will flash alternate between battery and security .I then leave the ign. on for 11 min then turn off when battery light stays on.Then it will start and I can drive anywhere sometimes the security light will come on then stay on.Sometimes it will start right up and other times it will start/stall.I am just trying to get the dam thing bypassed.I'm pretty limited on what I can do with out having a tech tool

Re: Passlock 2 Bypass
I can't find anything on bypassing it. Have you taken it to a parts store to pull the codes?
Here is where I got the relearn from, maybe it can help. http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...light=passlock |
