67-68 Guru's help needed ????
I am restoring a 67 factory tach/speed warning dash for a board member and he is very adamant about keeping it as close to factory as possible. We are looking for a 67 dash bezel and his says at the top r-hand corner (wiper-washer) and under that (lights). On the other side is one hole and he is going back with a choke delete. All of the after market bezels that I have looked at only say (wiper) and not (wiper-washer). Does anyone know where to get the correct bezel that has (wiper-washer) or does anyone even repop one.
Thanks PT

Where did you get it because I have looked at four places today and all four in the 67-68 version just say wiper.
Thanks PT

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
The one I have has the wiper-washer and the lights on the left and the choke on the right. My problem is I looked today at several sites and all of the ones I saw had just wiper and not wiper-washer. All of the hole designs were correct it was just the lettering that was wrong. Here is a NOS one vs. the aftermarket one. I need the one like NOS one that has wiper-washer together.

So if it helps any, my 67 has the original bezel and it states "WIPERS" as seen in the pic...

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
Also... I believe the NOS bezel you have pictured is incorrect for a '67 as the edges are chrome. I was under the impression that all '67 bezels were painted silver with the black background....I could very well be mistaken though....

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
Guys this one has me puzzled. The dash that I am working on is also painted and the circuit board states 67 but I have seen some 67 clusters ciruits state 66 on them. This is a speed warning/tach setup. The pic of the NOS one is one that I googled and found. I do not know maybe it was a late 67 build.

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
The bezel with the blank hole on the right corner is '68 only. The '68 trucks had either a Choke delete or had the choke installed with a tag that says "CHOKE", kinda like the tag on the manual throttles... At least that's what I have found in my travels, hope it helps.

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
Clos that is what I was suggesting on the board dates that I seen 66 boards on 67 clusters and 67 boards on 68 clusters. I have not built many 67-68 dash clusters and being it was a generation of a new truck in 67 I am willing to bet GM had a little trail and error. The dash I have the board member claims it to be a 67 but I think it is a 68. It has the choke delete.

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
I have a 1968 suburban and my buddie has the exact same burban down to the blue and white color combo. My dash is chrome and has a dull horn cap. His dash is silver and has a shiney base model horn cap. neither has a Cst cap. I will have to look and see if it states wiper or wiper washer.

Re: 67-68 Guru's help needed ????
I am finally back after being gone for a family emergency. Anyway, I have a 68 that was originally owned by a fire department and still pretty stock. My Dash is the one that doesn't have the four gauges below just a big speedometer, a big gas gauge and turn signals in the middle. Anyway, it has 2 knobs on the left and a choke on the right and yes - it says wiper/washer. Don't know if this helps but I thought I would chime in.
