Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
As far as i know, no. All of the pictures i have seen of guys doing this requires a bit of frame modification.

Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
I done it once in my old truck, I had to modify the frame and bed brace to get it to fit.

Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
There are other tank options (fuel cell or camaro tank) that work but with the blazer tank, as mentioned, you will either need to cut the cross sill and/or modify the frame

Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
ok. I'll figure something out, as I have the blazer kit, just try'n to figure out why you can't mount it a little lower so not to cut that brace, and with bed of truck under snow and tank kit in garage ,in box..
I'll look and see if I can find good picks of the tank installed with bed off. there must be a way to drop it that inch or two |

Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
the only problem that I think it would cause if you drop the tank lower is if your truck is lowered. but other then that I am sure there is a way you can work it out to be lower. if there is a will there is a way.

Re: Blazer tank install without cutting bed brace
The small cross sill had to come out. Then I drilled two holes in each frame rail and bolted it to the frame. I didn't use the straps, and I had to make 1 inch spacers from square tubing to get the tank low enough to work with my filler neck.

Thanks. It was well worth the effort.
