Stiff fuel pedal in 88 chevy...
Does anyone have any solutions to a really stiff pedal in a 1988 chevy pickup? What can i do to loosen it up a bit? It returns fine so i can't see the cable being kinked anywhere, it is looped however, when it comes from the firewall to the throttle body...is it possible the cable is too long??

Re: Stiff fuel pedal in 88 chevy...
Try opening the throttle by hand and wiggling the throttle shaft. The hole for the throttle shaft can get worn in the TBI housing. See if it feels like the throttle plates are catching on the throttle bores.
If the throttle felt ok by hand, replace the cable. The cable can wear a groove in the plastic housing and it will grip the inner cable when it has a work load on it.
