Dumb Question #13 (Hood Brace Rubber)

I just got the hood rubber replacement kit from LMC and it has 3 of the long pieces that go under the braces, but my hood only had 2 braces. What am I missing?

Also there are four smaller pieces, I'm guessing they go in the corners, my hood doesn't have anything there, but the drawing in the catalog shows them there.

My kit only had 2 long pieces. Looks like you may have an extra. Your corner pads may have fallen off over the years or removed by the PO and never reinstalled. My corner pads were screwed on, but I think I remember some being riveted.

Look closely for holes in the corners of the lower lip of your hood. I found mine full of body filler.
