Replacing vent window rubber
Broke my bolt off even after soaking overnight with pb blaster : Now all I can think to do to remedy this is tack weld a few spots around it, I got the other side done with no problem. and I got all my door rubber replaced, this is by far the biggest pain in the a## job I have done on this truck yet by far!

Re: Replacing vent window rubber
Sorry to hear it's being a bugger.
On a lighter note...any pics of your handiwork on the other side? |

Re: Replacing vent window rubber
Did you buy the reproduced whole vent window assembly? I bought this set at my local salvage yard for 5 bucks, and cleaned them up. Makes me sick that I broke the pass. side. Anyone know of another fix for the spring bolt breaking off? I have another set but they arent chrome.

Re: Replacing vent window rubber
IMHO--maybe try welding first. If it works; cool.
If not you're just out some time. Good Luck! And~~Nice truck!! |
