Tons of work accomplished this weekend !

It was a long but good weekend working on the 57. I replaced the lower hinge pockets inner and outter as well as the inner pocket cover. I removed, fixed and reinstalled the 2 front cab braces which hold the cab mounts. It was alot of work but worth it in the end. I still have to clean up all the welds but it will look good as new once completed. I added a few before and after pic's.This should complete the under side of the cab and time to move on to the firewall !

Re: Tons of work accomplished this weekend !

There are a lot of patches from the PO that I am removing and replacing properly. Seam Sealer must have been on sale when they were patching any area, very bad welds no grinding just covered with seam sealer. Some places it was 1" thick !

Someone's been busy........

Sometimes it can be more tricky and a lot more work rectifying someone elses 'attempts' than if the panel was original but rusty.

Nice job.

Looking good brings back "fond" memories of when I was at that stage.

Thanks Atomsplitter ! It has actually been a lot of fun so far, just sometimes you have to ask what were they thinking. University of Guelph is a great place and a good city as well.
