A Couple of dash disassembly ?'s
How do ya'll go about getting the radio out? Does all of the ducting have to come out from behind it first? I've got it lose from the dash, but can't seem to get enough room to drop it past the ash tray, and I can't find a good way to remove the ash tray guides.
When removing the dash bezel, how do you detach the wiper and headlight switches? I know both of these are easy ?'s, but i'm stumped. Thanks, Tynee

Wiper knob has a tiny little screw in the side of it. The light knob and shaft---you have to reach up and push down on a small button on the top of the switch to release the knob shaft. Have to unscrew the back of the speedo cable, then squeeze the ends of the wireing harness to relaese it from the back of the dash bezel, and finally you have to unscrew the fitting on the oil line as it is attached at the rear of the oil gauge. Then you get to unscrew the six or so screws that hold the dash bezel into the dash. ---------disconnect the battery first. If a tilt wheel, you may have to lower the column to allow the bezel to scoot out of there.

I was replacing the duct work and had the glove box out.
So I replaced the radio, and put the twin small speakers under the dash while I was there doing all that work.
